Call for Applications

Applications are currently closed until September 2019

The FARR Residency program operates during fall & winter semesters and is open to any current Concordia undergraduate student with an interest in taking on a self-directed project. Applications for both semesters occurs in September each year.

Fall Residencies run from October to December, with a finissage at the beginning of January. Winter Residencies run from January until the end of semester in April, with a finissage before exam periods.

Residents will benefit from a $250 honorarium, project cost reimbursement up to $250, access to FARR resources, FARR staff research support, and promotion. This is a research residency. However, we think of research as a broad category. We’re open to hearing about whatever interests and processes you are looking to pursue, as long as your proposal falls into one of the following categories:

In your application, please indicate for which semester(s) you would like to be considered. Projects are juried on a scoreboard basis, with emphasis on the complete applications, and consideration of how a project can benefit from the FARR’s space, collection, or student connection.
Please follow the application guideline found in the PDF here. For more information, feel free to email us at
